Discollector is an application to create and manage your music collection. It uses the very popular (and free!) Discogs service to store your collection data and to search and retrieve exhaustive album information to add to your collection. It is the easiest way to manage your Discogs collections on-the-go!

Features:

Offline caching:
Discollector allows you to keep your collection with you without a connection to the internet. After your initial load, you can browse without a connection.

Barcode scanning:
Discollector will allow you to add to your Discogs collection using an integrated bar code scanner. This will make adding your collection to Discogs quick and easy!

Streamlined interface:
Discollector organizes your collection using a streamlined interface thats perfect for the iPhone / iPod Touch.

Batch information loading:
After downloading your collection, you can front-load all of the details of the items and their cover art thumbnails for quicker data retrieval. If you dont want to do this, you dont have to. This is handy for cellular data connections because you only load what you need.

Discogs functionality:
Discollector is aware of all of the data from your collection, including folders, custom fields, and ratings.

Take your wish list and collection with you:
Dont you hate it when you go to a record store, and dont have quick access to your Discogs wishlist? Now you will, and you can add while you are there using the release search and/or bar code scanner. Having your collection in your pocket can also help you avoid buying duplicate copies of an album.

Print / email your catalog:
Discollector will print your catalog to a compatible AirPrint printer. If you want to send it to somebody, you can share a PDF copy as well!

Syncs with changes made on the Discogs web site:
Any changes you make on the Discogs website will appear in Discogs by simply pressing the "refresh" button. Anything that was removed will be removed, and anything that was added will be added.

Multiple users:
If you have multiple user accounts on Discogs, thats OK. You can add all of your accounts to Discollector, and easily switch between them.

Pros and cons of Discollector app for iPhone and iPad

Discollector app good for

Does what it is supposed to do. Ur collection in ur pocket anytime, anywhere.
When you are a user of Discogs and looking for an app to view and manage your collection on the go, look no further. This is the best! You can browse your lists and quickly check if a record is in your collection or not. You can even add items via the barcode scanner. Recommend!
Funktioniert einwandfrei mit Discogs! Super portable Bibliothek.
The app is really helpfull. Both for being on the road and for quick adding LP to the collection. On star less due to occasional problems when switching between on- and offline and because its iphone only. An iPad App would be very welcome!
Brilliant, helpfull app while on the road. But iPhone only and search function could be optimized.
Finally with thumbnails. Perfect! Just missing the "Random Item" function.

Some bad moments

First off, the barcode scanner works, but it doesnt work as well as it should. If I scan a disc and it doesnt populate the disc info, I can manually search and find the disc info. If I can find the disc info by fat-fingering in the band name and disc name, shouldnt the scanner be able to pick up the disc info? Second, HOW can you be a reputable database and not recognize a single U2 disc--either with the barcode OR typing in the band/disc names!? HOW CAN YOU NOT RECOGNIZE U2?! Thirdly, I thought I could export my discs to a spreadsheet via cvs file. I cant see how thats possible, even when I connect my phone to my desktop. There are some good things about this app, but the shortcomings almost out-weigh the positives. Please work on those for the 4.0 release.
Lame interface, limited options, cant find records. Does not worth the money.
Why the cover bug keeps getting ignored is beyond me. As long as this is not fixed, the only pressure is to keep posting one-star reviews as "normal" support requests are ignored. Keep this in mind before paying for this otherwise fine app.
Would be quite alright If it would also show the album covers.
Ive been looking for an app to help me index my collection in Discogs. This app does allow me to log into Discogs, search for items and add them to my collection. However, the barcode scanner doesnt work. Other apps barcode scanners work, but dont allow you to manage your Discogs collection. I cant recommend this app until the barcode scanner works.
There so features missing in this application to make it useful : - The searching interface is not really user friendly and complete. - We should be able to listen to music. - The login screen should be the collection and not the choice of an account - We should be able to change the category/folder of an item - There should be a bouton to refresh all details and thumbnails
